Teenage Depression
Teenage depression is increasing and this is worrying. Why is it happening and what are the causes of this. I guess it is similar to adults but also there is a lot more peer pressure for teenagers.
Grief also plays a big part, the loss of a loved one is bad enough but we really need our parents more when we are young, having them to talk to with your worries, especially when you are in the situation where you were really close to your parent.
Also things in society have changed so much and the world is becoming a lonely place for a lot of us. We live in a society full of fear which is not good or healthy. It is sad and with these pressures, the teenage population are finding it stressful and this leads to depression unfortunately.
It seems like teenagers are having to grow up to fast, being an adult and all that comes with it, it's not good it is great being able to grow up at your own pace, no pressure and all the time in the world, that's a problem to, time going in to quick. Your teenage years should be the best years of your life. This to I would imagine is a big factor in the reason why teenage depression exsists.
What are the signs of teenage depression.
Firstly they will become withdrawn, could be moody as it is bad enough being hormonal, loss of appetite or increased comfort eating, anger, rage, frustration, not going to school, lots of illnesses like psorisis, excema, any other skin condition, self harm, isolation from society and family, alcohol and drug abuse etc.
Now when these symptoms are being shown help is needed. The mind as I have said previously is so powerful and controls the whole body. Inner conflicts arise and then the body becomes out of control.
And with the personality of the teenager this is a contributing factor also, especially when they are the sensitive type. Unfortuantely they are the most prone as they find it hard to stand up for themselves, they dont want to offend people, hold a lot of emotions inside which is not good.
Now as adults I feel it is good to motivate kids, teenagers and other adults, get rid of their fear, help others to let it go. We are all here to enjoy life, have freedom to do what we want to do, have to do and ought to be able to do.
A great treatment for teenage depression is Analytical Therapy, going to someone who has all the necessary skills to find the cause and remove it.
It does work I myself have helped a few people this way. It is a safe and natural alternative, I believe the body can truly heal itself, but we have to have both parts of the mind working together, that is the subconscious and the conscious.
Another worrying discovery I made recently was
depression in children.
Now this is not good, I have heard people talking about children as young as 8 worried about their weight, this is the last thing they should be concerned about at their age. Also I do feel the way society is becoming children and teenagers are cruel to each other.

This meditation cycle is self-contained; i.e., it is complete in itself. It begins with a guided meditation, followed by positive suggestions and a special white-light visualization cycle, and finishes with suggestions to drift into regular nighttime sleep afterward. The cycle explores and discusses the spiritual centers in the physical body. (These centers are also called chakras and relate to the body's endocrine system.) Some people have commented to me that sometimes when their kids have been playing video games it makes them more aggressive. One parent I spoke to said her two teenage boys were limited to the amount of time spent on these games and when they were not playing them they were getting on much better.
So many pressures in this ever changing world, we need to start to make it a better place for the up and coming future generation.
I have decided to create a Teenage Depression
forum.
A place where you can share your inner thoughts with others and be a source of inspiration and help to others. Please feel free to use it and be the first to start this new online resource to help yourself and others as sharing knowledge is so important.
